If you’re into acoustic country and honky-tonk music, look no further than the The Venue in Aurora tonight.
The Western Elstons will be playing in Mundy Park, just adjacent to The Venue, starting at 8pm (doors open at 7pm).
The Western Elstons have been playing the first and third Wednesday of the month at the historic Simon’s Tavern in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago for over ten years now.
We are one of Chicago’s best-kept secrets and we kind of like it that way.
The Western Elstons play country, honky tonk, and rock & roll with minimal amplification. They feature the tight two-part harmony of Scott Ligon and Casey McDonough (who play and sing together in countless projects including NRBQ and The Flat Five), Joel Paterson on guitar, and the always tasteful drumming of Alex Hall.
The Venue/Mundy Park is located at 21-23 South Broadway in Aurora.
