Here’s what’s on the docket for Day 2 of Geneva’s Swedish Days Festival.
10 am-3 pm
Kids’ Day
Geneva Public Library, 227 S. Seventh Street – NEW LOCATION
A day dedicated to the KIDS! Balloon artists that will amaze. Visits from Disney Princesses from It’s A Girl Thing (12pm). Batter up with Kane County Cougars. Performances and clinics by Geneva High School Cheerleaders (12-1pm). And do not forget to grab some cotton candy from The Sweet Adventure before you leave. Inclusion for children and families of all abilities.
Activities provided by:
American Science & Surplus (Creation Station inside the library) – American Science and Surplus-Here at American Science & Surplus, we’re fascinated by discovery and invention. And we’re dedicated to having fun along the way. We supply a wide range of unusual and hard-to-find items (some say bizarre stuff) to hobbyists, tinkerers, artists, experimenters, educators, do-it-yourselfers and bargain hunters. Incredible new stuff added weekly!
All Star Sports (12-3pm) – Come on over and give it your all in the soccer Juggling competition. Compete within your age division to have the most legal touches on the ball to win prizes. AND with 3 different heights for the hoops, players will have a chance to sink baskets to compete within their age group to win prizes.
Chicago Steel Hockey – “Fast-Paced Family Fun at Fox Valley Ice Arena in Geneva. Future college and pro stars on display in United States Hockey League action from September through May. Tickets start at just $10!”
Chick-fil-A Batavia – We are an enterprise stemmed in excellence focused on developing a diverse and dedicated team. We strive each day to create a warm, welcoming environment for our guests while serving high quality meals as safely and efficiently as possible. We will be providing free sandwiches while they last.
Elise Flagg Academy of Dance – Elise Flagg Academy of Dance is committed to providing exceptional technical dance training in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Geneva Park District – Activities and games for all.
Geneva Public Library – Geneva Public Library will have a family story time at 9:30 am and drop in crafts throughout the day in Kids Landing.
Goldfish Swim School – Goldfish Swim School is the premier learn-to-swim facility for kids ages 4 months to 12 years. Our holistic philosophy, The Science of SwimPlay®, builds life skills both in and out of the water using play-based learning in a fun and safe environment.
Kyuki-Do Martial Arts of Geneva, Inc. – Kyuki-Do Martial Arts of Geneva is excited to offer programs specifically designed for 3 & 4 years old, 5 & 6 years old, and family classes for ages 7 and up. New this year is our kid’s Bullyproof, Gracie Jiu Jitsu for 7 to 13 years old focused on empowering kids to stand up to bullies! Scentcerely Yours (inside the library) – Scentcerely Yours is providing an exceptional experience for kids AND adults! Everyone will be able to create a layered sand wax candle that can be taken home right away! Don’t want it layered? Then mix all the colors and shake it up to create a mosaic look! We can’t wait to see everyone’s creation!

Penrose Brewing, Stockholm’s, Art History Brewing, The Beer Cellar and Obscurity Brewing will be offering a variety of craft beers. Cheers to your favorites all in one location. Purchase food from Altiro (5-8 pm). Tonight (7-8:30 pm), enjoy the music of Dan Olsson. Having enjoyed radio play in the greater Chicagoland area, he continues to establish himself on worldwide playlists with original releases.
