Cheers to Dr. Octavius!

Mildly smokey with a smooth ginger habanero finish! This cocktail is inspired by a local bad ass chiropractor, affectionately known as Dr. Gus. Well, I was fortunate enough to meet Dr. Gus a couple years ago while consulting in Westmont, IL.

Needless to say, I discovered quickly why he was so beloved and well received! The Dr. is incredibly kind, intelligent and passionate. Over the course of a few weeks, he and his awesome wife became my favorite regulars. However, I felt like something was up? No one could be this kind and awesome all the time? So, one day I told Dr. Gus my suspicions that if someone were to make him mad, he would become a maniacal diva. An alter ego was born (Dr. Octavius)🤣

Cheers to one of the best humans I’ve ever met, and I hope this finds you and your family well.

The Dr. Octavius

.25 oz ginger-habanero simple

My passion for learning, teaching and history is undeniable, but I was struggling financially, so I began moonlighting as a bartender just to make ends meet, and unexpectedly fell madly in love with every aspect of the bar business. For my squad and I, it is about so much more than making a great cocktail. It’s about memories, music, history and sharing those moments, ensuring you embrace the present, reflect on the past and securing a bright future.
