4 FOR THE WEEKEND
where our top priority is creating peace, love, and serenity in your lives by pointing out great things to do this weekend! (Ok, peace, love and serenity might be a stretch. We’ll settle for helping you avoid screaming at your cat.)
So let’s get to it, starting with…..
Aurora’s “First Fridays” Returns!
In a sure sign of post-pandemic (almost) optimism, Aurora Downtown is re-instating the popular First Friday festivities in downtown Aurora.
While things aren’t completely back to pre-pandemic times, the idea of getting out and celebrating community life again is exhilarating!
This Friday’s (April 2) excitement will include food trucks, art exhibits, live music and….well….yes, a belly-dancer. Because honestly, what screams “Aurora” more than a belly-dancer?
Don’t answer that. Click here for more.
Live Music at Bannerman’s
UFO, Judas Priest, Queen, Pat Benatar, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Van Halen, Guns N’ Roses, Heart…
Yes, the 1980s called and they want their music back.
And you can get it back too by heading out to Bannerman’s in Bartlett this Saturday night. So ladies, tease up that hair, and gentlemen…well, actually, we wouldn’t recommend the mullet look to anyone, but you do you, and head out to Bartlett for a great night of live music and fun.

Side Street Studios Opens
Interesting New Exhibit
On a more serious note, art lovers should consider checking out Side Street Studios’ fascinating new exhibit, Metamorphosis, opening on Friday, April 2 from 6-9 PM.
The exhibit features works from three inmates of Dixon Correctional Center as they express how art has helped them heal and change their life.
An interesting Good Friday/Easter event, wouldn’t you say?

Obviously, we’re skipping the most important event of all this weekend, Easter! We figured you didn’t need much of a “heads up” on that one.
If, for whatever reason, none of our fabulous four events doesn’t pop your cork, we’ll be very insulted. However, all hope is not lost. Simply go to www.foxvalleymagazine.com and check out our A+E and Events sections for other ideas.
Finally, please do us a favor. We would be eternally grateful if you could share this with some of your unsuspecting family, friends and neighbors. We’d also appreciate some love on our Facebook page (see below). Ok, technically it’s a “LIKE,” but don’t be pedantic. Also, that’s actually two favors. We’ll owe you.
So there you have it. The inaugural edition of Fox Valley Magazine’s Four for the Weekend! Thanks for reading. Until next time…OH! One more thing. If you’re reading this via the website and would like to have this emailed to you bright and early every Friday morning, please SUBSCRIBE!
