The second annual Elgin Pride Parade and Festival in will be held in downtown Elgin on June 1st, 2024, from 11:00am to 5:00pm. The parade steps off at 11:00am heading north on Riverside Drive and returning south on Grove Avenue, culminating at Festival Park. A signature sign of summer in Aurora is here again. The Aurora Farmers Market opens it’s 112th season this Saturday, June 1, in downtown Aurora. Every Saturday morning from June 1 through October 5, patrons can visit the state’s oldest farmers market from 8am to 12pm at Water Street Square, 65 S. Water St., across from Aurora City Hall. A former DuPage County Assistant State’s Attorney has been arrested and charged in federal court for allegedly threatening two Illinois State Representatives and their families via social media. According to a press release from United States Attorney’s Office Central District, the complaint alleges that on March 17, 2024, the Illinois State Police were contacted by two Illinois State Representatives about a threat that they had received via the social media company X, formerly known as Twitter.  The social media post stated, “Our patience grows short with you.
