    June 18-19 | “Psychobilly,” Blues, 80s and Rock At The Piazza in Aurora

    The Piazza in Aurora has three great shows on tap this weekend, with both indoor and outdoor shows on the menu.

    June 18

    Indoor

    The Reverend Horton Heat with Dale Watson
    Singer, songwriter and guitarist The Reverend Horton Heat (aka Jim Heath) has been called “the godfather of modern rockabilly and psychobilly.”  He’ll be bringing his unique brand of storytelling and tall tales to the Whiskey Hill Main Stage on Friday evening, starting at 7pm.

    Outdoor

    Sixteen Candles
    Experience the nostalgia and energy of the greatest decade of music – the 1980’s!! Entertaining audiences since 2003, Sixteen Candles travels the country to bring 80’s music to life in full force for a memorable and exciting concert experience that you won’t soon forget. Performing in the Rock Lot, starting at 8pm.

     

     

    June 19

    Indoor

    Eric Gales
    Blues-rock guitarist Eric Gales will be rocking the Whiskey Hall Main Stage Saturday, starting at 7pm.  Gales has recorded eighteen albums for major record labels and has done session and tribute work. He has also contributed vocals on several records by the Memphis rap groups Prophet Posse and Three 6 Mafia under the name Lil E.

    Dave Matthews Tribute – The Trippin’ Billies
    Called “the nation’s most renowned Dave Matthews tribute band, touring the U.S. for close to twenty-five years,”  The Trippin’ Billies will mount the Rock Lot stage on Sunday at 8pm. “This is not just another Dave Matthews cover band. This is THE tribute band.  If you enjoy Dave Matthews, this is the band for you.  As close as you can get to the real thing.”
