The Kane County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman found dead in Campton Hills last Friday evening as Nena Peduzzi, 44. Peduzzi was found dead in the driveway of her Campton Hills home and an autopsy conducted Monday revealed that she died from traumatic brain injuries consistent with being struck by a car. Toxicology samples were collected and sent to a national forensic laboratory for analysis.

Campton Hills police are investigating the death of a woman found in a residence in the 4N600 block of Brookside West Drive in Campton Hills Friday evening.
According to police account, at approximately 10:45pm Friday Campton Hills police officers discovered a deceased woman at the residence following a report of a disturbance there.
The incident is being investigated by the Campton Hills Police Department as well as the Fox Valley Major Crimes Task Force and Kane County Coroner.
No indication as to the cause of death has been made public. The name of the victim is being withheld subject to notification of next of kin.
According to police, this is an isolated incident and there is not threat to the public. No further information has been provided at this time.
