Galena’s Halloween Parade & Festival is a cornerstone of Galena’s fall festivities and yearly calendar, and is among the largest, longest, and spookiest Halloween celebrations in the Midwest.
The parade and festival will take place on Main Street in Galena on October 28, 2023. This year promises a fantastic lineup of activities, with everything kicking off with a Costume Contest at Washington Park from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Following the contest, visitors can enjoy the Food Festival and Kids Fest that offer a diverse selection of treats, eats, and games.
Parade Highlights
The parade is renowned for its visually stunning floats, marching bands, and costumed participants that entertain guys and ‘ghouls’ of all ages. The entire Main Street becomes a stage for this extraordinary display, replete with prizes, and local vendors offering handmade goodies.
