St. Charles’ favorite son (for now) had a close call in Las Vegas yesterday when a private jet he was on skidded off the runway on takeoff Sunday morning.
According to his Instagram account, the plane was taking off from Harry Reid International Airport when he noticed that “we weren’t getting up in the air today,” after which the plane headed off the runway, just missing “I don’t know how many fences, trucks and dumpsters. I’ll tell you, these pilots saved our lives today.”
The plane eventually crashed into the last fence, without injury to Wahlberg and the other passengers.
“The airplane did take some lumps — but we did not.”
“I made this video for my friends and family, after the incident, but so many of you all are my family too so I figured I’d share with you. Yes, it was me and my team/friends onboard the aircraft. It was a rather intense few moments (which felt like a few long minutes).
“Thankful to God, of course, and to our incredible pilots who did an amazing job of keeping us safe and avoiding a serious disaster.”
