Two Aurora men are in hospital after being shot in a residence on Aurora’s east side Thursday evening.
According to police, at approximately 10:18pm, Aurora Police officers responded to the 1900 block of Westridge Place for a report of a shooting involving two individuals inside a residence.
Officers found two Aurora men, ages 53 and 19, suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported by Aurora Fire Department paramedics to a local hospital, and the 19-year-old man was later transferred to another hospital for additional treatment.
Both men were last reported in serious but stable condition.
Preliminary information indicates that multiple rounds were fired at the residence before those involved fled the area. Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from circumstances specific to those involved, and there is no indication of a continuing threat to the community.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
