Update: Oswego police have released the identity of the 20-year-old man killed when his motorcyle struck a towed trailer in Oswego Saturday.

“The Kane County Coroner’s Office has identified the motorcyclist as 20-year-old Stone Antrim, of Oswego. An autopsy was conducted on Monday, May 11, 2026. Preliminary findings indicate he sustained multiple injuries consistent with a motor vehicle collision. Toxicology samples were collected and are undergoing analysis at a national forensic laboratory.

“The investigation remains ongoing pending completion of the traffic crash reconstruction report. Witnesses reported observing multiple motorcycles traveling together in the area prior to the crash and traveling at a high rate of speed. Preliminary investigative findings indicate the van involved in the crash was lawfully attempting to turn into a driveway with its turn signal activated at the time of the collision.”

A 20-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle struck a towed trailer in the 4000 block of Route 34 in Oswego Saturday afternoon.

According to the Oswego Police Department, at approximately 1:42pm Saturday officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of Route 34 near Wolf Road for a crash involving a motorcycle with unknown injuries. While en route, dispatchers advised that the motorcyclist was unconscious and receiving CPR. Upon arrival, officers took over medical care until paramedics arrived and transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital. The man later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

A preliminary investigation indicates the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Route 34 when it struck an enclosed trailer being towed by a van. The van was also traveling eastbound and was attempting to turn right into a driveway in the 4000 block of Route 34. The driver of the van, a 31-year-old male, and a passenger were not injured.

Route 34 was closed between Wolf Road and Boulder Hill Pass for approximately four hours while officers conducted crash reconstruction and processed the scene.

The crash remains under investigation pending completion of the traffic crash reconstruction report. The identity of the deceased is not being released pending an autopsy scheduled for Monday.
