Featured selections of Craft Beers created by local Fox Valley area brewing companies.

Bahama Boots
Hazy IPA – 7.0% ABV. Bahama Boots is a lush tropical escape brewed with Azacca® hops, Azacca® hop oil, and a splash of Citra® hops to create waves of pineapple, mango, and bright citrus. Every sip feels like a breezy day on the beach—juicy, hazy, and endlessly refreshing. Available now at the Penrose Taproom and your local craft beer retailer.

Good Energy Grapefruit Cooler
3.0%. Help us give good energy and enjoy a refreshing Riverview Kölsch with a splash of sparkling grapefruit in collaboration with our neighbors at Water Street Studios. A portion of proceeds will support downtown Batavia’s next Public Art Installation: The City of Good Energy Gateway Mural!

Sturdy Shelter Brewing
10 Shumway Ave.
Batavia, IL 60510

Fruhauf Oktoberfest Lager
5.4% ABV. Built in 1871, the current La Dolce Vita restaurant in Lemont was once home to The Charles Fruhauf Store. Charles Fruhauf, a German-born immigrant, built his storefront out of Lemont limestone (Athens Marble) and his general store was a Lemont staple throughout the late 1800’s. A Great American Beer Festival Bronze Medal Winner, we brewed this Oktoberfest as homage to him and the beautiful building that still stands to this day. Clean, malty, and just dry enough, this Märzen-style lager is to be consumed in your finest lederhosen or dirndl while eating giant pretzels in an endless beer garden.

Pollyanna Brewing & Distilling
106 S Riverside Ave.
St. Charles, IL 60174

Haka
ABV: 4.6%. Style: New Zealand Pils. Haka is a SMaSH (single malt, single hop) beer, highlighting the bright, juicy lemon-lime flavors of the New Zealand Rakau hop onto a base of smooth, bready German pilsner malt. The result is a bright, and easily drinkable lager, perfect for an aspirational beach weekend (actual beach or summery weather not necessary).

Brother Chimp Brewing
1059 West Orchard Road
North Aurora, IL 60542

Sloppy Kisser
New England IPA 7.4%. Over the years, we have received requests from puppy lovers to name a beer after everyone’s best friend. Well, here it is: Sloppy Kisser! If you have a dog, you know exactly what we mean. Cheers to all who have a dog that brings them happiness and love! The beer is moderately hazy, featuring Mosaic hops and the New England “Conan” yeast strain. What results is a peach, guava, and papaya hop bomb!

Scorched Earth Brewing Company
203 Berg Street
Algonquin, IL 60102

Oktoberfest
Toasty bread and caramel notes with a firm bitterness for balance. Prost!
