Songbird Theatre will present Red And The Wolf, a gritty retelling of the classic fairy tale, at Steel Beam Theatre in St. Charles Friday through Sunday, June 13-15.
The wild folk live in the forest, kept away from the decent folk of civilization. Red, the orphaned daughter of famous heroes, leads a garrison at the wall. When such a wildling emerges, he is not what anyone expected.
With a score inspired by Les Miserables, Hadestown, as well as heavy influence from Stephen Sondheim, Red and the Wolf is a 90 minute folk opera about differences, seen and unseen.
Tickets are $20 (plus processing fee) an can be purchased here.
Steel Beam Theatre is located at 111 West Main Street in St. Charles.
