Two people are dead, incuding a 13-year-old boy, after a domestic incident in the Emma’s Landing subdivision on Geneva’swest side Thursday evening.
According to Geneva police, officers responded to a fatal domestic violence 911 call at 8pm Thursday in the 2700 block of Emma’s Way, where they found two victims, both of whom were later pronounced deceased at separate local hospitals. According to multiple media reports, one of the victims was a 13-yaer-old boy.
According to police, the incident was isolated to the home, and a male suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie L. Mosser and Geneva Chief of Police Eric Passarelli announced that four counts of first-degree murder, a class M felony have been authorized against the suspect.
The man is being detained pending the filing of charges and First Appearance in court, where the State’s Attorney’s Office intends to file a petition to deny pretrial release.
