A man is in hospital after being shot in the chest outside of a Naperville apartment complex Monday evening.
Naperville police officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Testa Drive at approximately 8:48pm Monday evening where they located an 18-year-old male from Naperville laying on a grassy area outside an apartment building suffering from a single gunshot wound to the chest.
Naperville Fire Department personnel transported the victim to a local hospital where he is currently being treated for his injury, which is not believed to be life-threatening.
Officers established a perimeter and located a person of interest, an 18-year-old male from Naperville, who is currently being detained. The preliminary investigation indicates the two men knew each other, and this was not a random act.
