Dundee Heritage Fest will be held September 13, 14 & 15 in downtown East and West Dundee. A local favorite along the Fox River, Heritage Fest is free to attend and provides activities for all ages.
The fun begins on Friday night with a fireworks show over the Fox River at 8 pm that is not to be missed, bookended by high-energy live entertainment from 6:00-8:00 and 9:00-11:00pm.
Live music and entertainment continue throughout the weekend representing a wide variety of genres and decades. For a complete list of bands, please visit the Heritage Fest website at wdundeeheritagefest.org.
Saturday and Sunday are packed with things to do, see and, of course, eat, including a carnival by Windy City Amusements, juried Craft and Antique Fairs with over 100 vendors, an expansive Car Show, loads of giveaways & raffle opportunities from local business and not-for-profit organizations, and hands on crafts, games and activities for kids.
Sunday brings a few special events, beginning with the Dundee Lions Club’s Community Pancake Breakfast from 8:00-11:00am, with proceeds put toward the Lions’ charitable activities in the community. Show off your skills in the Baggo Tournament; register in advance at wdundeeheritagefest.org or just show up at noon. Line up along Main Street at 2:00pm as the Dundee-Crown Homecoming Parade makes its way from East Dundee to West Dundee.
Of course, an extensive menu of food and drink options will be on hand from numerous vendors throughout the weekend – including Emmett’s craft beer brewed right here in West Dundee, New Orleans cuisine, BBQ, authentic Mexican cuisine, fest favorites such as funnel cakes and lemon shake-ups, and much more.
Whether you bring the whole family for a full day of fun, come for the art and antique fairs or the farmers market, or enjoy an evening out with music and drinks, you will not be disappointed by all that Heritage Fest has to offer.
