Taking place in its iconic Grant Park home, Taste of Chicago, the beloved Chicago tradition, will once again spotlight the impressive variety and talent of the city’s culinary scene, set against the backdrop of Buckingham Fountain. From September 6-8, alongside 40 food vendors and more than a dozen food truck offerings, guests will enjoy free performances by some of music’s most well-known names, with headliners including GRAMMY®-winning singer, songwriter and rapper CeeLo Green, celebrated regional Mexican music trio Yahritza y Su Esencia and Australian alternative rock group Atlas Genius on the Taste Main Stage. Alongside the Main Stage headliners, The Goose Island Stage showcases an exciting roster of local and emerging artists, including Gabacho, Asha Imuno and MJ Nebreda, along with DJ sets by Toyacoyah, DJ Hotrod and DJ Iggy to close out each night, respectively. Throughout the weekend, guests will also enjoy family activities, special programming, free dance lessons and much more.

Once again taking place in its Grant Park home near Buckingham Fountain, the 2024 edition of Taste of Chicago will spotlight the city’s incredible breadth of culinary talent alongside some of the music industry’s top hitmakers. In addition to 40 food vendors and more than a dozen food trucks, guests can also relax in a designated beer hall as well as a cocktail lounge both featuring a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage offerings.
Food vendors include 90 Miles Cuban Café, African Food Palace, Arepa George, Arun’s Thai Restaurant, Badou Senegalese Cuisine, Banato, Billy Goat Tavern, BJ’s Market & Bakery, Chicago Eats Market, Chicago’s Doghouse, Churro Factory (Xurro), Connie’s Pizza, Cumin Club Indian Kitchen, Donut Dudes, Doom Street Eats, Eli’s Cheesecake, Esperanza Kitchen Delights, Franco’s Ristorante, Frannie’s Café, Gaby’s Funnel Cakes, Harold’s Chicken, JJ Thai Street Food, Josephine’s Cooking, Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, Mano Modern Café, Moore Poppin Chicago Gourmet Popcorn, Oooh Wee It Is Restaurant, Ponce Restaurant, Porkchop, Robinson’s No. 1 Ribs, Sapori Trattoria, Seoul Taco, Star of Siam Thai Restaurant, Tacotlán, Tandoor Char House, The Original Rainbow Cone, The Sole Ingredient Catering, Yum Dum, Yvolina’s Tamales, Zeitlin’s Delicatessen and a wide variety of food trucks.
Throughout the festival, attendees can enjoy performances from a diverse selection of chart-topping musical artists on the Taste Main Stage and the Goose Island Stage. Chicago Made, a DCASE initiative that supports emerging Chicago artists, presents many of the performers on the Goose Island Stage. Children and their families can also take part in the festivities at Lifeway Kefir Family Village, featuring a wide variety of games and activities for everyone, including interactive art provided by Somos Arte and inflatables by A Moon Jump for You.
Taking place throughout the weekend, Chicago SummerDance brings a global dance party to Buckingham Fountain on the SummerDance Stage. Welcoming all skill levels and ages, attendees can learn dance styles from Chicago and around the world, including Salsa, Hustle, Footwork, Bhangra, KPOP and more.
Also on the SummerDance Stage, Eli’s Cheesecake hosts the annual Eli’s Cheesecake Birthday Celebration on September 7 at 12:30pm, carrying on the longstanding tradition of cutting a ceremonial 1,000-pound Eli’s Cheesecake Attendees will receive a free piece of cake following the ceremony, while supplies last.
