Naperville police are seeking a suspect in the armed robbery that took place yesterday in the 4900 block of South Rt. 59.

At approximately 5:03am on Friday, the Naperville Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery that had occurred approximately 10 minutes earlier. The offender, armed with a handgun, reportedly stole U.S. currency from the business and a necklace from an employee. No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a male wearing black pants, a black hooded shirt, black gloves and a mask. Additional identifying information is unknown at this time.

The offender reportedly left the area on foot, but the preliminary investigation indicates the suspect may have been dropped off at the location in a white sedan.

This incident remains under investigation. If anyone has information regarding this crime, they are encouraged to contact the Naperville Police Department at (630) 548-2955 or email [email protected].
