Naperville police continue to investigate a shooting incident Sunday morning that resulted in a man being hospitalized.
On Sunday at approximately 5:12am, Naperville police received a call indicating that a gunshot was heard in the 1500 block of Watkins Lane. The caller related that three individuals were involved in an argument in the parking lot and that, during the argument, a gunshot was heard. The caller reported that the three subjects fled on foot.
Police arrived on scene and located evidence that a person had been shot. It was later discovered that a victim, a male subject out of Bolingbrook, suffered a gunshot wound and transported himself to a local hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The preliminary investigation led police to believe this was an isolated incident and not a random act. There is no threat to the community.
