A man is in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being shot yesterday on Elgin’s west side.
At 6:42pm Sunday evening, Elgin police officers responded to the 500 block of North McLean Boulevard for a reported shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male subject with apparent non-life-threatening injuries who was subsequently transported to an area hospital.
The identity of the injured man has not been released.
The incident is under active investigation and unnamed subjects are in custody.

This was the 28th reported gunfire incident in Elgin this year.
