A 44-year-old Harvey man was arrested late Wednesday afternoon after police allegedly found cocaine in his car following a routine traffic stop.
Just before 5:00pm on Wednesday, officers observed the suspect commit multiple traffic violations while driving a vehicle near the intersection of Diehl Road and Raymond Drive. During the course of the traffic stop, police located .1 grams of alleged crack cocaine inside the vehicle and placed the suspect under arrest.
Following the arrest, the suspect was transported to the Naperville Detention Center where a search revealed 21.1 additional grams of alleged crack cocaine on his person.
Wheeler was charged with two petty traffic violations, Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class 1 felony, and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, a Class X felony.
