An unidentified man is in hospital after an early-morning shooting on Elgin’s east side.
At 12:10am this morning, Elgin police officers responded to the 600 block of Dover Drive for a reported shooting inside of a residence, where they found an adult male victim who was subsequently transported to an area hospital.
A subject is in custody and detectives from the Major Investigations Division are actively investigating the incident.
