Batavia is named for and celebrates the home of our second tasting room in Batavia. IL. A medium bodied white perfectly balanced with medium-high levels of mouthwatering acidity makes this perfect to sip on for summer. Notes of honeysuckle and pear on the nose compliment the orange blossom and juicy mandarin finish. Cheese, nuts, and sushi are perfect pairings for this bright semi-sweet white!

Once it reaches the glass, the spirit of the bright young wine immediately comes to life with lofty aromas of ripe red fruits and wild berries, underscored by fragrant hints of crushed violets, lavender, allspice, sandalwood, and roasted nuts. On the palate, the natural intensity of the fruit-driven flavors of briary blackberry, raspberry coulis, boysenberry, ripe cherry, and dark plum are layered with nuances of chocolate truffle, black pepper, cardamom, clove, and a light touch of toasted oak.” Take home price: $19.98

Cantina del Taburno, “Dama” Falanghina del Sannio, Italy, 2022 – $18.99
Falanghina is a rare native white grape of Southern Italy from the Sannio area of Campania, grown on the slopes of the inactive volcano Mount Taburno. Mineral laden with stone fruit on the nose and hints of pineapple. On the palate, there is bright citrus with a mineral texture and tart tropical fruit. Cantina del Taburno has always held an extremely important role in the development of agriculture in the Sannio area of Campania. Located on the slopes of an inactive volcano, Mount Taburno, it is a point of reference for viticulture in the region. Terroir-driven wines of exceptional quality and finesse.
