    Elgin Police Investigating “Suspicious Vehicle” Parked Near Elementary School

    Police are providing additional surveillance around Lord’s Elementary School in Elgin after a suspicious vehicle was identified parked near the school Monday afternoon.

    At approximately 3:17pm Monday, EPD officers responded to Lord’s Park Elementary School at 323 Waverly Drive for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the area of the school while children were present. The vehicle did not make contact with any of the students but left the area when approached by school staff.

    EPD announced that officers will be providing extra surveillance in the area.

    Anyone with information that may assist is asked to call 847-289-2600 or text a tip to 847411. Include “ELGINPD” in the beginning of the text along with the message and/or tip information.
