A Wauconda man is in custody after being accused of selling cocaine in Naperville. An apparent accomplice was also arrested on weapons-related and possession charges.

The arrests, which took place Friday afternoon in a parking lot in the 800 block of Illinois Route 59, followed a month-long investigation into alleged cocaine sales in Naperville.

The 24-year-old suspect has been charged with two counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance (one Class X felony and one Class 1 felony) and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 4 felony).

A 29-year-old Island Lake man who was with the suspect at the time of his arrest was also arrested after police allegedly found him to be in possession of both a loaded handgun and cocaine. He is charged with one count of Armed Violence (Class X felony) and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 4 felony).

A third person – a 29-year-old man from Wauconda who was driving the vehicle occupied by the suspects – was also arrested and charged with a misdemeanor for driving on a suspended/revoked license.
