In an apparent incident of road rage, two men were hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after a traffic altercation in Elgin.
Elgin police officers were summoned to Sherman Hospital early Tuesday afternoon to investigate an adult male stabbing victim being treated for non-life threatening injuries. It was determined that the man’s wounds were the result of a traffic altercation involving another adult male that occurred near Randall Road and Fox Lane.
The second participant was located and had a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, for which he was treated at a local hospital.
Detectives from Elgin’s Major Investigations Division are actively investigating the incident.
