A 57-year-old Naperville man is dead after the car he was travelling in left the road and hit a tree Sunday morning.
According to Naperville police, at approximately 6:15am Sunday, police and fire personnel responded to a single-vehicle crash involving injuries near the intersection of Naper Boulevard and Bayhill Avenue.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the silver 2004 Nissan driven by a 62-year-old male from Naperville was northbound on Naper Boulevard approaching Bayhill Avenue when it left the roadway, striking a tree. Both the driver and the vehicle’s passenger, a 57-year-old male from Naperville, were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The passenger later died from his injuries.
The identities of the driver and the deceased are being withheld pending further investigation.
