The National Weather Service is forecasting a major snowstorm to hit the Fox Valley beginning Monday evening and potentially lasting through Wednesday.
Two rounds of wintry weather are poised to move through Monday night through Wednesday morning. The first round (Monday night through Tuesday morning) will impact the Fox Valley with wet, accumulating snow. Current expectations are for between 1″-3″ during this period.
After a lull Tuesday morning, Round 2 is expected to set in, with accumulating snowfall potentially exceeding 4″ in some places.
Note that the effects of this storm have the potential to reach well south of I88 and extend to NW Indiana. Caution is urged when travelling during this period.
