The Naperville Chorus and the Pete Ellman Big Band will join forces this weekend to present “Holiday Harmonies: Handel to Jazz” at Wentz Concert Hall in Naperville.
Feel a rush of holiday spirit with both foot-tapping jazz and traditional arrangements of seasonal music, favorite choruses from Handel’s “Messiah,” and an audience sing-along.
Since 1976, the Naperville Chorus has given concerts in both the holiday season and the spring. This concert will be the seventh collaboration between the Chorus and the Pete Ellman Big Band.
The Pete Ellman Big Band was formed in 2009 after Pete retired from the Illinois Air National Guard after 20 years of service. Since then, the band has played regularly in the Chicagoland Western suburbs at locations such as Mullen’s in Lisle and Fitzgerald’s in Oak Park.
Showtimes are Saturday, December 9, at 7:30pm and Sunday, December 10, at 3pm at Wentz Concert Hall on the campus of North Central College in Naperville.
Tickets are $25-$30 and can be purchased here.
