    Man Found Shot On Metra Tracks In Elgin

    Police found a man suffering from gunshot wounds on the Metra tracks in downtown Elgin early Saturday evening.

    At approximately 5:51pm, Elgin police officers responded to the Metra tracks aproximately 300 yards north of Kimball Street for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival officers located an adult male with injuries who was transported to a local hospital.

    No information was provided as to the condition of the victim.

    The Metra Police Department will be handling the investigation as the incident occurred in its jurisdiction. The Elgin Police Department will be assisting.
