The DuKane Chapter of ABATE of Illinois’, one of the largest motorcycle & rider rights organizations in the world, will hold one of the largest motorcycle runs in the State of Illinois this Sunday, October 8.
The run is part of the 37th Annual DuKane ABATE Toy and Food Run, an all-day event that begins with the motorcycle parade from Elburn to Sycamore, followed by a party at The Sycamore Speedway. This event provides toys and food for needy families throughout DuPage and Kane counties.
The day will begin at Knuckleheads Tavern and Schmidt’s Towne Tap in Elburn. Rise and Dine will be serving up a hot and delicious breakfast, after which the motorcycle parade will commence at 12:30pm.
What follows is a scenic ride through the countryside ending at the afterparty spot, The Sycamore Speedway, where there will be music by The Cave Dwellers and Mock Star, along with food, vendors, the legendary burnout competition, mechanical bull riding, and all sorts of good clean motorcycle-people fun.
Registration is at Knucklehead’s Tavern and Schmidt’s Towne Tap in Elburn.
The run will be escorted and blocked by multiple police departments. The cost is $20 per person plus a toy or food donation. Participants can get started early by bringing new and unopened toys to any participating dealers.
