    West Suburban Irish will be putting on their third annual Naperville Irish Fest this weekend.

    On Friday and Saturday, September 22-23, there will be live music, Irish cultural activities, Irish dancing, Hurling and Camogie demonstrations, children’s activities and more during the family-friendly festival at Naperville Central Park, 104 East Benton in Naperville. Hours are 3 to 10 p.m. Friday and noon to 10 p.m. Saturday.

    One-day tickets are $10 ($15 for two people). Children, age 12 or younger, are free. For tickets, go to www.wsirish.org.

    Parking is available at the following lots:

    • Van Buren Parking Facility: 43 W. Van Buren Ave.
    • Central Parking Facility: 75 E. Chicago Ave.
    • Municipal Center Parking Facility: 400 S. Eagle St.
    • Water Street Parking Facility: 120 Water St.

    Live Music
    Check out the incredible live music and entertainment on tap this year.

    Hurling & Camogie
    Learn about the ancient Gaelic Irish team sport still played today with members of Naperville’s very own Hurling & Camogie Club.

    In the Hurling Batting Cage, learn how to swing that hurley and knock the sliotar (ball) out of the park during festival hours. All ages are welcome. Hurleys and sliotars provided or bring your own.

    Whiskey Tasting
    Quiqley’s Irish Pub will be hosting Irish whiskey tastings on Saturday, featuring a variety Tullamore and Jameson fine whiskies. Separate tickets are required, which can be purchased here.

    For kids
    There will be many activities for children, including bounce houses and face painting. Click here for full kids’ schedule.
