Admit it. You probably think that “Jessie’s Girl” and “867-5309” were performed by the same artist.
Frankly, if you recognize either one of those 80’s pop hits, you should head out to RiverEdge Park in Aurora Thursday for the “I Want My 80’s Back Tour,” featuring Rick Springfield, among others.
With over four decades of hits under his belt, Springfield is a true icon of the music industry, and his live shows are nothing short of electrifying. From “Jessie’s Girl” (see above) to “Love Somebody,” he’s known for his catchy hooks, powerful vocals, and high-energy performances.
Springfield will be joined by Tommy Tutone, whose catchy smash “867-5309” (see above) is a perennial dance favorite. With their infectious pop hooks and high-energy performances, Tommy Tutone’s live shows are a blast from start to finish.
Also performing are The Hooters!, known for hits like “And We Danced,” “Day By Day,” and “All You Zombies,” and Paul Young, known for his chart-topping hits like “Everytime You Go Away” and “Come Back and Stay,” to his soulful covers of classic tracks.
The show starts at 7:30pm on Thursday, August 31, at RiverEdge Park.
RiverEdge Park is located at 360 North Broadway in Aurora. Tickets are $39 and can be purchased here.
