Three men have been charged with First-Degree Murder resulting from an Aurora Police Department investigation of a shooting on the city’s West Side in May that left a man dead.
The men, two from Chicago and one from Melrose Park and ranging in age from 18 to 36, are all charged with 1 count of First-Degree Murder, as well as 1 count of Home Invasion (class X felony), and two counts of Armed Violence (class X felony). They were also charged with various weapons-related felonies.
On Monday, May 8th, at approximately 12:16 AM, Aurora Police were called to the 2300 block of Candleberry Lane where they found Isaiah Ayala, 36, suffering from gunshot wounds. Ayala was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
All three accused were taken into custody Tuesday by the U.S. Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force and transported to the Aurora Police Department. They are each being held on $2,000,000 bond.
