The City of Aurora will celebrate Independence Day in style with a parade and massive fireworks show.
Parade
The City of Aurora’s Annual 4th of July Parade will step-off at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, in downtown Aurora!
- The Parade will begin at the intersection of Benton St. and Broadway St.
- March north on Broadway St. (Rt. 25) to Downer Pl.
- March west on Downer Pl. to Middle Ave. where the Parade will conclude
The Reviewing Stand will be placed in front of the David L. Pierce Art and History Center, located at 20 East Downer Place, for best viewing.
Fireworks
The City of Aurora celebrates Independence Day by living up to its “City of Lights” name with a spectacular fireworks display on the evening of Monday, July 3rd, 2023, in downtown Aurora.
Best viewing is available at RiverEdge Park (gates opening at 7:00 PM) and McCullough Park.

DJ Suave Smooth will be spinning at RiverEdge Park from 7:00 PM – 9:45 PM.
McCullough Park (150 W Illinois Ave, Aurora, IL 60506)
DJ Pena will be spinning at McCullough Park from 7:00 PM – 9:45 PM.
Wilder Park and Promenade (350 N River St, Aurora, IL 60506)
Accessible by foot by both parks, Wilder Park and Promenade will host a food truck court full of food vendors for fireworks spectators! Food trucks will begin selling at 5:00 PM.
