One Fox Valley high school was ranked in the top 50 nationally, according to a report by 247wallst.com.
Using information gathered by education information provider Niche, 247wallst.com ranked the top 50 high schools nationwide, emphasizing academics, culture and diversity, extracurricular activities and other factors in its assessment.
The only Fax Valley high school making the list was Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, coming in at number 30.
Neuqua’s ranking is a significant improvement from a US News ranking released in April of last year, where it was ranked 417th in the country. Neuqua’s ranking in that survey did, however, put it at the top of Fox Valley high schools, and in the top 10% of high schools nationwide.
Nine other Illinois high schools made the list, with the University of Illinois High School in Urbana, better knows as “Uni,” ranking 3rd overall. The other Illinois schools ranked in the top 50 included Lake Forest High School (45), New Trier Township High School (43), Vernon Hills High School, (42), William Fremd High School (34), Glenbrook North High School (31), Glenbrook South High School, Glenview (29), Hinsdale Central High School (25) and Adlai E. Stevenson High School (9).
