The St. Charles Park District’s summer concert series returns this week with the annual Tyler Brett Caruso Memorial Concert on Thursday, May 25 at 7 pm.
Every Thursday at 7pm in Lincoln Park in downtown St. Charles these free concerts epitomize the best of small-town living as the community comes together to enjoy an evening of musical talent to rival anything seen in the big city to our east.
What gets your toes tapping? Classic music? Rock? Country? Blues? Whether it’s a country-and-western band with its own Nashville sound or an out-a-site party band playing the grittiest, grooviest garage rock hits, there is something for every musical taste on tap during the ever-popular Concerts in the Park series.
On June 1, can get a taste of the Midwest’s hottest country rock band “Yankee Cowboy” with their upbeat, exciting and modern country music with rockin’ blasts from the past.
Nu Blu”, takes the stage on June 8, with an award-winning bluegrass set of songs that range from melancholy to the exuberant.
On June 15, “Blooze Brothers” will honor the original music and stage performance of Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi with a combination of rhythm & blues, blues and soul classics.
On June 22, the “Hillbilly Rockstarz” will hit ya covering everything country from the classics to the latest hits from Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean and so much more.
“Semple” on June 29, will guarantee to be a nonstop great time with styles ranging from 70’s Rock to modern pop songs and everything in between.
After a July 4th break, the series continues on July 13 so get ready to enjoy “The Throwbacks,” with their classic songs from the 1950s and 1960s infused with a unique modern twist.
“Starlight City” entertains the crowd on July 20 with a dazzling mix of pop and dance music that ranges from Top 40 to nostalgic classics from the 90s to 2000s.
On July 27, “The Beatelles”, a four-piece female vocal show, will shake up the tribute world with songs from John, Paul, George and Ringo with harmonious perfection.
“True Company” on August 3, will take the stage and perform rock, pop, funk, reggae, country and a variety of cover songs that you won’t want to miss.
And the summer ends on a high note on August 10 with “Classical Blast” from Beethoven and Bach to classic rock, metal and pop, these trained musicians have no boundaries. It’s the past, present and future all brought together in perfect harmony.
Concerts in the Park is the perfect setting for a gathering of family and friends, with music to appeal to everyone from toddlers to grandparents. Dance in front of the gazebo or just relax on the lawn.
Bring your blanket and chair and don’t forget your dancing shoes as you get ready to swing to a summer of great music under the stars.
