The 7th Annual Arts in Bartlett Global Arts Festival will be held on June 10 and 11 from 11 am – 5 pm at the Jim Jensen Pavilion, Bartlett Park District, 620 West Stearns Road in Bartlett (corner of W Stearns Rd and S Bartlett Ave).
Free to attend, the Global Arts Festival is a community event celebrating cultural diversity and values to broaden knowledge, encourage acceptance and grow unity. Immerse yourself in the colors and sounds of local cultures as you marvel at a stage filled with local groups performing culturally significant dance routines, playing unique musical instruments and singing traditional ethnic songs. Get involved in a variety of family-oriented lawn games, crafts and activities. Shop marvelous vendor booths filled with diverse wares and artists representing world cultures, including American folk and fine art. Discover interesting ethnic foods and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options) offered by local establishments.
Plus, new this year, Authors in the Park coordinated by Lynn DeSmidt on behalf of the Bartlett Public Library Foundation. Event attendees will enjoy this unique opportunity to interact with 10+ local authors, learn about the creative process, discover the joy of reading, and spread the word about their works. Activities include book purchases, book signing, prize drawings and more.
