A serious car accident on Plank Road in unincorporated Hampshire Tuesday afternoon resulted in severe injuries requiring a medivac to a nearby hospital.
At approximately 4:49 on Tuesday, Kane County Sheriff deputies were dispatched to the scene of the accident on Plank Road, near the Meadowlark intersection in unincorporated Hampshire. There they found the result of what appeared to be a head-on collision between two vehicles.
Injuries from the crash were considered serious enough to request a medical helicopter to transport victims quickly to hospital.
No information as to the nature of the crash has been released and the Sheriff’s Office is still investigating.
