An Aurora man was shot and killed just after midnight Monday on Aurora’s far west side.
At 12:16 A.M. Monday morning, Aurora Police received several 911 calls reference multiple shots fired, and a person shot in the 2300 block of Candleberry Lane. Officers located a 36-year-old Aurora man, Isaiah Ayala, inside a residence suffering from gunshot wounds.
Aurora Fire Department paramedics transported Ayala to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Ayala’s death is being investigated as a homicide.
Detectives from the Aurora Police Department’s Bureau of Investigations responded to the scene and began investigating the specific circumstances of the incident.
