A 23-year-old male staff member at Huntley Middle School has been arrested for sexually assaulting a student at the school. The alleged incident took place on school grounds, according to police.

According to a press release, on April 14, 2023, the DeKalb Police Department was notified by the Huntley Middle School staff that an inappropriate encounter between a staff member and a minor had occurred on school premises. Police interviewed several staff members and students and it was determined that a criminal act had been committed by a Huntley Middle School staff member against a Huntley Middle School student.

Detectives conducted a thorough investigation and identified the subject.

On April 18, 2023, the DeKalb Police Department obtained a warrant for the subject’s arrest for Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse ($500,000 Bond).

The subject was charged with 2 counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse and is being held at the DeKalb County Jail.

Anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information that can help with the investigation is asked to please contact the DeKalb Police Department.
