On Sunday evening, an Elgin man was stabbed to death
At 6:40 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 300 block of Ryerson Ave. for a report of a stabbing. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male subject with injuries who was subsequently pronounced deceased on the scene.
An individual was taken into custody and Detectives from the Major Investigations Division are actively investigating the case. According to the police, this was an isolated, domestic related incident with no threat to the community.
The identity of the male victim will not be released at this time and the cause and manner of death will be determined by the Kane County Coroner’s Office pending the results of an autopsy.
