In February 2020, Francisco L. Manriquez sexually assaulted a woman who was unable to consent. He then battered a second woman, who was seven months pregnant, when she walked in and witnessed the sexual assault.
In February 2023, a jury found Manriquez guilty of the offenses of:
- Aggravated criminal sexual assault – Class X felony (2 counts)
- Criminal sexual assault – Class 1 felony (4 counts)

Yesterday, Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie Mosser announced that Manriquez has been sentenced to 30 years in jail. He had faced minimuym of 12 years.
“Mr. Manriquez’s criminal actions were a selfish betrayal of the trust the victims believed they could place in him,” said Assistant State’s Attorney Amanda Busljeta. “He clearly knew what he was doing was wrong, but that did not stop him. This is an appropriate sentence.”
In accordance with Illinois law, Manriquez, 53, must serve at least 85 percent of the sentence. He receives credit for 1,152 days served in the Kane County jail.
In addition to the prison term, Manriquez must register for life as a sex offender in accordance with the Illinois Sex Offender Registration Act.
