In a brief statement Wednesday evening, the Aurora Police Department reported that officers had responded to a bank robbery in the 1900 block of W. Galena Boulevard earlier in the evening.
APD immediately contacted the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which maintains jurisdiction over all bank robberies nationwide. APD remained on-scene to assist the FBI.
As of this 7am this morning, the FBI has not issued any announcement related to this issue. It remains unclear which bank was robber, as several reside within the specified block.
This is an ongoing story and we will provide updates as available.
