An Aurora man who was recently extradited from Wisconsin faces first-degree murder charges in the brutal stabbing death of a 55-year-old woman last July.
It is alleged that on July 14th of this year the 20-year-old suspect stabbed the victim, Edith Gonzalez-Alarcon, multiple times in the torso, causing her death. The alleged homicide took place at the Jackson Place residence that Gonzalez-Alarcon shared with the suspect.
The suspect fled to Wisconsin immediately after the stabbing.
After an investigation, a Kane County judge issued a warrant for his arrest, and West Allis, Wisconsin, police officers took him into custody.
After a hearing, a Milwaukee County judge ordered the suspect extradited back to Kane County.
He recently appeared in Kane County bond court. Judge Julia Yetter set his bail at $2 million with 10 percent ($200,000) to apply for bond. His next court appearance is set for 9 a.m. on Nov. 3, 2022, in Courtroom 319 at the Kane County Judicial Center.
