We’re getting awfully close to Florida Man (or Woman) territory here.
In a press conference today, Chicago Police Department Superintendent David Brown reported that this morning an officer found a woman “in the middle of the street, unclothed” in the area of Jackson Boulevard and Kostner Avenue in West Garfield Park.
“As the officer tried to render aid to this woman, tried to figure out why she was laying in the middle of the street, the woman charged the officer, assaulted the officer, got in his squad car, took the squad car and drove off. She had an accident and was taken into custody.”
According to Brown, the officer was run over by the woman as she drove away from the incident. The officer was taken to nearby Stroger Hospital with injuries to his legs and a laceration on his face. His condition is unknown at this time.
The woman apparently attempted to drive onto the Eisenhower Expressway but ended up crashing into parked cars near Stroger.
The woman was arrested and taken for psychological evaluation, also at Stroger.
