Since opening to the public in 2020 after 65-years as a members-only Supper Club, you would think that there would be many signature dishes that The Anvil Club could tout to the world. And to be sure, its menu is rife with classics from Lobster Bisque to Surf & Turf. However, the Club’s tagline speaks succinctly to The Anvil Club’s claim to fame: “Prime Steaks and Seafood since 1956.” Not Select. Not Choice. USDA Prime! The USDA website says: “ Prime beef is produced from young, well-fed beef cattle. It has abundant marbling (the amount of fat interspersed with lean meat) and is generally sold in restaurants and hotels. Prime roasts and steaks are excellent for dry-heat cooking such as broiling, roasting, or grilling.” From the Club’s 22 oz.
