    Update: Woman Stabbed In West Chicago; Suspect Identified, At Large

    According to the West Chicago Police, the suspect in this morning’s stabbing incident has been identified and is currently at large.

    Officers have located and recovered the weapon used by the suspect, who is identified as 34-year- old Sergio Miranda-Medina. He may also be using the name Rigoberto Urbina. He is described as a male, Hispanic, 6 feet tall, short black hair, wearing blue jeans and possibly a blue baseball hat.

    He was last seen on foot heading southeast from the area. Officers from multiple agencies are assisting in an attempt to locate the suspect.

    If you see the suspect, call 911 immediately. If you have any information on today’s incident or know anything about the suspect’s current whereabouts, please call 630-277-0841.


    According to release from the West Chicago Police, at approximately 6:30am this morning a woman was stabbed by an unknown, male assailant who then fled the scene.

    The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.

    The incident took place in the 1600 block of Canterbury Ct. in West Chicago.

    Police are currently looking for a subject described as a male Hispanic, approximately 30 years old and 6 feet tall, of larger build and wearing blue jeans.
