    Geneva Orders Flags At Half-Staff As Caitlin Gallagher Is Laid To Rest

    The City of Geneva ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff on Tuesday, May 24, in remembrance of Caitlin Gallagher, who died last week after being struck by a train in Geneva.

    The city issued a statement expressing condolences to Gallagher family.

    “With permission from the family, the #GenevaIL flag at City Hall was set to half-staff May 24 in memory of Geneva High School student Caitlin Gallagher, 17. Obituary: https://bit.ly/3MPLQxN The City of Geneva expresses its sympathies to the Gallagher family on their loss.”

    Ms. Gallagher’s funeral was this morning at 10:30am at Peter Catholic Church in Geneva. Her obituary can be found here.
