The Aurora Greek Fest takes place this weekend at St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church in Aurora.
The Fest offers a taste of Greek hospitality, culture and most importantly delicious Greek food!
The church hosts this semi-annual festival which runs for a long weekend every May and November, attracting thousands of guests from Aurora and the surrounding suburbs.
Now in its 24th year, the Aurora Greek Fest is much more than a cultural event for the families of St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, according to its members. It is an opportunity to share a part of themselves with the community: Who we are. Where we come from. What we believe.
Visitors are encouraged and welcomed to go inside the church to receive a “taste” of its religious heritage which was founded in Christ and passed down without interruption for nearly 2,000 years.
Admission is free and there is plenty of parking.
